After my father passed away, I took ownership of his house, and I am now going to try to fix it up, because I want it to stay in the family, and I also want it to look like it did when I was a little kid. It does not look nearly as good as it used to, and that is a shame. But I am going to fix it up. First, I am going to hire a company that does work with exterior restoration in NYC to fix the exterior of the house, which is the part of the house with the most damage, due to the elements and other things that have happened to it over the years.
I guess that I should try to figure out if it is going to be very expensive to get this done. That is one of my chief concerns, mostly because I want to know how much I can expect to spend for the whole project. Not because I am worried about actually having enough money for the project, because I should have plenty of money for the project. Anyway, I guess that I will just try to figure that out, and then I will need to see if I can put together a budget for the project.
I want to talk to a few contractors, for different aspects of restoring the house. I need to gather some quotes, and do some other calculations, and then I should be ready to actually proceed, and get started with some of the work to make the house look better. I have not decided if I am going to live in the house, after it gets repaired. But that is definitely an option. I might use it as a second residence or something like that.
