One Click Drives Utilization
To grow revenue and improve the customer's experience, companies spend significant time and money deploying internal systems that provide business-critical content to employees. According to Forrester Research, by 2010 organizations around the world will spend $11 billion annually on customer relationship management (CRM) systems alone.1 Dow Jones gClick Enterprise allows organizations to leverage their investments and drive utilization by enabling employees to extract and integrate real-time business information that's contextual to each user.
Dow Jones gClick Enterprise scans any Web page—including information applications such as Factiva, OneSource, and Hoovers as well as CRM and sales force automation (SFA) applications such as Salesforce.com, SAP, and Siebel. All of these intelligence resources are aggregated into a single, personalized view. And employees can connect to each company and executive with Dow Jones's relationship-mapping technology.
Maximize the Effectiveness of Existing Information Applications
Dow Jones gClick Enterprise is an Internet browser plug-in* that enables employees to easily scan any Web page for real-time business intelligence. Simultaneous to matching companies, executives, and events to Dow Jones's vast business information database, Dow Jones gClick Enterprise searches internal company information and applications to extract intelligence that's relevant to each user. For example, let's say an employee is reading an online Wall Street Journal article about a Fortune 500 company that is making an acquisition. When the employee clicks the Dow Jones gClick Enterprise toolbar button, Dow Jones's technology extracts key metadata about the Fortune 500 company, the company being acquired, and any executives mentioned in the article. Dow Jones gClick Enterprise returns the following type of business information in one summary window:
- In-depth company and executive profiles
- Relationship maps showing how each employee and his or her organization connect to these companies and executive
- Recent, relevant news and events about the companies and the executives referenced
- Results from internal information licenses and CRM/SFA data
How It Works
From anywhere on the Web, just one click of the Dow Jones gClick Enterprise toolbar button opens a daughter window containing real-time business intelligence that is contextual to that Web page. Dow Jones gClick Enterprise scans the unstructured HTML from the Web page and then identifies companies, executives, and events mentioned on that page. It pulls relevant data from behind the firewall, together with Dow Jones's business data, into your company's branded environment. Dow Jones gClick Enterprise provides comprehensive information about the extracted companies, executives, and events—from both inside and outside your corporate firewall. This intelligence is pushed to your site as XML and woven into a results page. Results are displayed in seconds.
The Dow Jones gClick Enterprise toolbar button is labeled with your company’s logo. It’s with you everywhere you go (A)—online, such as a news site, in a Web e-mail, or your intranet and HTML-based CRM and SFA systems. One click creates a document overview page based on the article (B). Clicking on the companies and the executives yields in-depth profiles, such as the executive detail shown (C); and “Connect to This Executive” shows how you’re connected in a relationship map (D).
